This is the Winchester House in San Jose, CA.

This is Sarah Winchester, who owned it.
She was the wife of William Wirt Winchester and heiress to his estate and a 50% holding in the Winchester Repeating Arms Company following his death from tuberculosis in 1881.  According to legend, she believed she was possessed by evil spirits, possibly because of her connection to Winchester rifles.  It is said that she believed she would not die as long as construction was still ongoing in the house, hence the "phantom" stairways & doors,
when she ran out of other things to do.
It didn't work; she died in 1922.

The reason I brought all this up is that my son referred to my blogging as my own personal Winchester House.  I am 82 years & he thought that as long as I had yet to be published blogs,
I believed I would not die.
I am about two months ahead in my blogging & I try to write one or two a day.
I wrote this one on July 25th.
I don't believe it but I hope he's right.
So far, so good!!

I believe that our country will survive Trump's presidency.
After all, we've lived through having a compassionate president; Lincoln.
And an (almost) president for life; Roosevelt,
Two near invisible presidents; Eisenhower & Ford,
And a lying president; Nixon.
Surely we can take four years of Trump.

I believe that people are inherently good.

I believe that puppies can make anyone feel better.
I know this picture always makes me happy:

I believe that music hath charms to soothe the savage breast.
This piece is almost  hypnotic:

I'm not sure if I believe in an all powerful God or not.
I'm an agnostic leaning towards atheism.
When I die, I expect there to be nothingness.
If there actually is a God, I will be pleasantly surprised!!
I've always liked this song, anyway:

I believe I'll go have something to eat----fishducky
