This is a slightly reworked post from January, 2016. I'm too bored to really work on it but there are a whole lot of new cartoons (& most of the old ones).
To see a different post I wrote when I was bored, click here.
I'm calling a meeting.
Everybody in the boardroom boredroom!!
Maybe I should buy myself this shirt:
There are things I can accomplish while I'm bored:
As I said, I'm too bored to write a post today so, instead,
I offer you a bunch of cartoons about being bored.
I hope they're not too boring:
I got some good chuckles out of these.
ReplyDelete"you are here X but your mind is somewhere else"
That describes me a lot of the time.
I don't remember ever being bored as a child, there were far too many books that needed reading. Same now.
Don't you ever get too bored to even read?
DeleteThe "You're here but your mind is somewhere else" cartoon is on a map of Alabama. Was that a secret message to me? :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't think you'd notice!!
DeleteWhen ever I told my mom i was bored, she had me pull weeds. I quickly learned to keep it to my self when I was bored.
ReplyDeleteEven nice mothers can find nasty chores for their children as a cure for boredom!!
DeleteI think I have seen those bored seniors on their scooters before.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember ever being bored when left to my own devices as a kid. I was bored when we had to go someplace and sit quietly with adults--LOL! So many good ones today!! :)
ReplyDeleteBTW--I am never bored being housebound, either--ROFL!!
ReplyDeleteHow could you get bored with all your arts & crafts supplies?
DeleteCan't ever remember being bored enough to do housework. Tell you what though, you have made me feel down right mellow today.
ReplyDeleteTo me, wanting to do housework would be one step BELOW being bored to death!!
DeleteI had an English teacher in high school who said that if we were bored, it was our own fault. I guess she did that to frighten us into listening to her most boring lectures without complaining.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
She lied!!
DeleteHa! This reminded me that when I was a kid and told my mother I was bored she'd tell me she could easily find something for me to do. That always meant a tedious chore.
ReplyDeleteSee my comment to Joeh!!
DeleteHeh, heh. I love the world's first talking dog, and the poker-playing stay-at-home moms!
ReplyDeleteI have a DVD of the movie Heartbreakers. In a deleted scene, Sigourney Weaver is having a lunch with some old boring rich people (she's trying to marry a rich old man who will die quickly and leave her his fortune). Anyhoo...in this deleted scene, she nods her head as if really listening to an old lady who's droning on and on, and then STABS herself in the thigh with a fork to stay awake.
Thank goodness I never had a fork with me at some of our faculty meetings.
Or, I assume, a carving knife!!
DeleteI'm not easily bored, but this post!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope it didn't bore you!!
DeleteThe mall directory is so right.
ReplyDeleteAlso I have accused my husband of picking on me because he is bored. LOL
It wouldn't surprise me if that's why he does it!!
